This Howell Arms conversion cylinder is for the Uberti Dragoon revolvers and converts them to use 45 Colt or 45 Schofield cowboy ammunition. Though historically the Dragoons where Horse Pistols and usually carried in pommel holsters on your saddle, many notable historic characters carried them as sidearms. Rip Ford, the famous early Texas Ranger carried a pair of them on his belt! Though large revolvers, they are well-balanced and fun to shoot, and easily manage the 45 Colt cartridge with typical "Cowboy Loads". With the 45 Schofield round, they are really fun to shoot! The RDDRAGU has a full six round capacity and catches the attention of your fellow shooters when it's combined with the Uberti Dragoon. This is NOT for the Walker Dragoon, that is item #RDWALKU. (If, after installation, you are unsure of the fit, please take your revolver to a competent gunsmith to make sure you have the cylinder installed correctly.)
