Trapdoor Springfield Rifle 45-70 dated 1888***Sold***

Trapdoor Springfield rifle in 45-70. Metal has some pitting around the wood stock, wood is solid with dings and scratches you would expect for a 130 year old firears, no cracks. Breech block is marked U.S. Model of 1884, Buffington rear sight, inspector cartouche is dated 1888, P proof behind the trigger gaurd is visible but faint. Metal has scatered areas of pitting with no original finish remaining, bore is near excellent.
