Trapdoor Springfield rifle in 45-70. Metal has some pitting around the wood stock, wood is solid with dings and scratches you would expect for a 130 year old firears, no cracks. Breech block is marked U.S. Model of 1873, Buffington rear sight marked R for rifle, inspector cartouches are not present, P proof behind the trigger gaurd is not present. Metal has scattered areas of pitting with no original finish remaining, bore is near excellent.
