Antique Remington Hepburn 24" Octagon in 32 W Caliber**SOLD**

Antique Remington Hepburn in 32 W caliber, 24" octagon barrel with a good bore showing scattered pitting in the grooves and rifling throughout. The barrel of this rifle retains about 70-75% fading original blue turning plum to mild gray patina and showing some sparsely scattered light dings and areas of cleaned minor oxidation staining. The action case-hardened colors have turned gray showing some mild freckling. The hammer and breechblock retain about 75% original bright blue showing some mild thinning and the sides of the trigger. The barrel shows crisp Remington Arms Co. address and is marked "32W." ahead of the forend tip. The buttplate appears to be factory sporting buttplate. The checkered pistolgrip walnut buttstock and smooth schnabel forend with steel tip. There is are dings/scratches commensurate with it age. The rifle is sighted with a Lyman tang sight and a globe front sight missing the insert and spirit level bracket, rear barrel sight has a filler insert. The action seems to function well mechanically. An attractive late-style Hepburn with some strong condition. Antique rifle ships direct to customer in most states.
