Very Rare Savage 1899 B 38-55 Winchester 26" Octagon Barrel Ca 1904***Sold***

Savage Model 1899 B in very rare 38-55 Winchester 26" full octagon barrel. Excellent bore, Weaver K 2.5x scope made in El Paso with Stith mounts. The scope and mounts appears to have been on this rifle for a long time probably since the 1950's. There are no extra holes drilled into the receiver or barrel for this type of mount. Most of the barrel blue is there with minor freckling. The remaing metal has turned gray with some freckling. Mechanically excellent as far as I can see. The stock has a crack coming off of the upper tang not unusual for this model(see photo). The forend and butt stock have holes left from having sling eyes installed.
