Lyman USMC Marked 20x Super Targetspot Scope

Rarely incountered serial #17388, 20x Super Targetspot telescopic sight furnished to the Marine Corps by Lyman in 1949. This scope is in very good plus condition retaining about 95% original blue with scattered light scratches, edge wear and sparse fine oxidation staining from the years and is marked "USMC PROPERTY" under the model and serial number. The scope measures 24 1/2" overall and features a 3/4" tube plus sunshade, adjustable calibrated objective for parellax, adjustable mounts, rubber eye cup and threaded dust caps. The optics remain crisp and are equipped with a fine cross hair reticle. A nice seldom encountered Lyman USMC scope. The screw for the rear mount is broken (see photo) but easily replaced or repaired.
