Antique Remington Hepburn in rare 45x2 7/8" AKA 45-110 caliber. 28" heavy octagon barrel marked E. Remington & Sons Illion N.Y. and is marked 45.2 7/8, light scattered pitted bore with good stromg rifling. Blade front sight, rear flat top barrel sight. 75% barrel blue and case colors remain. Tang is missing the upper screw filler, lower tang screw has a filler. Matching serial number wood is solid with no breaks or cracks with evidence of use a gun this age would show. Barrel has matching serial number to action. This gun was made for hunting out west when extra power was needed for big and sometimes dangerous game.
