7.62mm M1 Garand originally made by Springfield Armory in August 1943. The wood on the bottom of the pistol grip is stamped Model 1, 7.62 Nato, Alpine. Alpine Company converted this to 7.62mm (.308) and to use M14 magazines. The receiver appears to be a reweld. Not to many of these were made. Birch wood stock with a rubber buttpad. The manufacturers name, (Springfield), and model has been mostly buffed off when it was reblued but the serial number is still visable. The buyer MUST have a qualified gunsmith inspect the rifle BEFORE you fire it. We know nothing else about this rifle. Be sure you can posses this rifle and magazines in your state before purchasing.

Comes with five M14 magazines. 1-unmarked, 1-BRW S-1 marked by Borg Warner, 2-W marked by Westinghouse, 1-25 round umarked. These magazines cannot be shipped to the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington and District of Columbia.
