1893 Marlin made in 1901 in 38-55 Winchester 26" Barrel***Sold***

Marlin 1893 lever action rifle in 38-55 Winchester with a 26" round barrel with good bore. Bore has light pitting throughout with stromg rifling. Barrel is marked "Special Smokeless Steel". Barrel has 90% of the blue, the receiver, lever, buttplate and magazine are gun metal gray. Receiver is not drilled and tapped for the Hepburn sight, the tang is factory drilled and tapped for a tang sight. Receiver has a small area of pitting on the left side with evidence of some light cleaning. Rear semi-buckhorn rear barrel sight marked D.W. King and a knife blade front. Wood is clean with no breaks or cracks but does have minor dings and nicks you would expect on a rifle this old. Upper tang is marked MODEL/<1893> manufactured about 1901. Must go through an FFL.
