Located in the Free State just 18 miles to the west of the small town of Petrusville in the Upper Karoo, approximately in the center of South Africa. This is a semi-desert region and is completely malaria free.

•  Over 20 species of game to hunt.
• An abundance of animal, bird and plant life, a wide variety of nocturnal animals and raptors are in this area.
• Accommodation and meals included with your daily rates.
• Black powder muzzle loader, black powder cartridge and bow hunters welcome.

All game hunted are mature males and all trophies will be good representatives of the species. Almost all will meet the SCI minimum standards.

Hunting on the plains is primarily done on 37,500 acres (58 square miles) base camp or in nearby hunt areas totaling 160,000 acres (250 square miles).  The animals marked with an * in the price list are hunted in different parts of the country at an extra cost of $50 per hunter per day.

We also have one of the best concessions for bird shooting in the Karoo.

Game marked with * is not available for hunting from the base camp.  You will have to go to different parts of the country with an extra $ 50 per person per day in addition to the daily rate.

Accommodation:

Comfortable, well-equipped and serviced Bush Camp provides facilities for up to eight hunters. For your convenience there is electricity, but also a "Lapa" to build a campfire during the nights.

Within walking distance of the Bush Camp, Eland, Impala, Springbuck, Steinbuck, and Guinea fowl roam free and can be observed in their natural habitat.

Additional tours:

There are hiking trails where one can see pre-historic rock engravings and working tools as well as an abundance of animal and plant life.

During a night drive you'll see the Karoo come alive with all the shy nocturnal creatures.

Tours to nearby Anglo Boer War sites are available on request.

Daily Rates:

1 Client with 1 Professional Hunter: $300 per client per day

2 Clients with 1 Professional hunter : $ 250 per client per day

Non - Hunter: $ 120 a day

Daily rates includes:

• Full time services of a licensed and experienced Professional Hunter.
• Services of all camp staff, trackers and skinners.
• Accommodation, all meals and soft drinks.
• Laundry Services.
• Use of fully equipped vehicles.
• Skinning and field preparation of trophies.
• Road transportation to and from the Bloemfontein or Kimberley airport.
• Government hunting license and permit fees.
• Sight seeing in the nearby area.

Daily rates exclude:

• Value Added Tax (VAT) currently at 14%, payable on Daily Rates only.
• Accommodation prior and after safari.
• Personal charters or connection flights to and from Kimberley or Bloemfontein.
• Trophy fees of animals bagged or wounded and lost.
• Taxidermy work and shipping of trophies to final destination.
• Rifle rental $ 50 per rifle per day. (Includes ammunition)
• Gratuities.
• Medical expenses (please have own medical insurance)

Terms:

• A deposit of 50% of the total daily costs required to confirm your booking.
• 25% of your daily rates are non refundable in case of cancellation.
• Balance of daily rate to be payable on day of arrival.
• Trophy fees are payable on all animals killed or wounded.
