The Hunter's Axe is similar to the Belt Axe No. 9 except it has a double bit head and does not have the "Goats Foot" style butt. Loggers long ago used double bit axes to add weight to axe and two differently sharpened edges. One edge was kept sharp for cutting trees while the other was thicker for clearing and chopping branches. The leather sheath slides onto your belt for carrying the axe. Etched on the axe handle is Marble's famous slogan "For every hour in the open."
