Kirst Cartridge Konverter with loading gate, to convert .44 caliber Uberti 1858 Remington to shoot .45 Long Colt/ .45 Schofield ammunition. Drops right in and converts your cap and ball into a cartridge revolver. Some minor fitting may be required, no F.F.L. required, S.A.S.S Legal, and lifetime manufacturer warranty. Owner has the option of cutting a loading port in the frame (template supplied) and convert your Remington using the new Ported Kirst Konverter with loading gate. All Kirst Cartridge Konverters are precision CNC machined in the USA from 4140 Steel and heat-treated. The cylinders are rated "For Black Powder or equivalent loads only," which includes the current Cowboy Loads on the market .45 caliber cylinders must NEVER be installed in brass frame revolvers. Not recommended for original antique Remington Revolvers.
