This is currently manufactured obsolete black powder cartridge rifle ammunition for 40-70 Sharps Straight chambered firearms listed below. Using a .408" 400 grain bullet, SPG lubed, 20-1 alloy (item #410663.408) and loaded with Swiss Black Powder. The brass is reformed from 30-40 Krag cases (item #4070SSSTD) with a rim thickness of .065" and is 2 1/2" long. Bullets are cast from the Lyman mould 410663. This ammunition is suitable for the 1877 Sharps made by Axtell, C. Sharps rifles and CPA 44 1/2 Stevens rifles.
