Whitneyville Model Dragoon black powder percussion revolver. This realistically made reproduction pistol is made by Uberti to Cimarron's high standard of excellence. One of the famous Dragoon Models made between 1848 and 1863 as evolutions of the 1847 Walker Dragoon. Shorter than their predecessor (barrel, cylinder and frame were reduced in length), these Dragoons were reliable and particularly efficient weapons against their single shot opponents of the day. Only the arrival of the .44 caliber 1860 Colt Army, a still lighter and more manageable arm, rendered the Dragoon obsolete in the early '60s. This pistol comes in charcoal blued finish (though shown in standard blue finish here). Specs: Charcoal blue and case colored frame, brass T/G-B/S, 1 piece walnut grips, .44 caliber, 7 1/2" barrel, weight 4.06 lbs.
