Cimarron imported Uberti made 3rd Model Dragoon black powder percussion revolver cut for shoulder stock. The famous 1st, 2nd and 3rd Model Dragoons were produced from 1848 to 1863 as evolutions of the 1847 Walker Dragoon. Shorter than their predecessor (barrel, cylinder and frame were reduced in length), these Dragoons were reliable and particularly efficient weapons against their single shot opponents of the day. Only the arrival of the .44 caliber 1860 Colt Army, a still lighter and more reliable arm, rendered the Dragoon obsolete in the early '60s. Because this revolver is cut for a shoulder stock, on the left side of the frame a notch has been cut out of the cylinder and there is an extra screw. Also, on the heel of the grip. Specs: Standard blue finish, case color hardened frame, brass T/G-B/S, 1 piece walnut grips, 7 1/2" barrel, .44 caliber, weight 4.06 lbs.
