These antique Military Rolling Block rifles originally made in the 1860's and 1870's by Carl Gustaf and Husquavarna. In the 1880's these were arsenal rebuilt and made into forrester rifles for use in game management. The actions where recase colored, rebarreled with a nickel steel barrel and chambered to 8x58R. The military forearms where shortened at that time and sling swivels where added but some are missing rear swivel, some stocks may have small cracks and some have simple checkering. Actions have varying amounts of case color remaining most have faded to a nickel color. Some actions may have light pitting. Most have matching numbers on the barrel, action, buttplate, buttstock, hammer and block. Bore condition will vary from good to very good. These all appear to be shootable but WE RECOMMEND YOU TAKE IT TO A COMPETENT GUNSMITH. No two are alike and condition will vary but this is a good general description. IF YOU WANT US TO HAND SELECT A RIFLE THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL $20 CHARGE. This means if you want us to pick the best of the ones in stock or if you to pull from stock and describe a specific rifle over the phone and you purchase it then this charge applies.
