Cast from RCBS mould 50-515-FN item #RCB57948, they will actually weigh around 540 grains depending on the alloy. Overall length of bullet 1.100", distance from crimp groove to nose .430", meplat .290". This is a great hunting bullet with tremendous penetration.

I thought you might want to know where your 50 cal 540 grain bullets were going. I just came back from a buffalo meat hunt in Nebraska and used a 50-90 Shiloh Sharps rifle with your Swiss black powder and your 540 grain FN cast bullets to kill this 3 1/2 year old bull. The bullets were recovered when we butchered it. One went through the left side lung and hit the off shoulder elbow and defected down into his forearm. The bull turned around the other direction. The other bullet went through his right side lung and deflected off the off side shoulder bone and went up under his shoulder blade. Virtually no meat loss. Mighty fine eating! Thanks!
