This 38 S&W black powder ammo (not 38 special) is loaded with black powder, our 150 grain .358" hollow base lead bullets (item #358150HB) cast from pure lead and lubed with SPG Lube.  650 fps 4" barrel.

If you have an early black powder Smith & Wesson, Iver Johnson revolvers etc. Use only black powder ammo as shooting even reduced loads of smokeless will ruin these guns.

We fired these loads out of two different revolvers one with a .360" groove and one with a .365" groove barrel, both shot well as the hollow base bullets will expand out and fill the grooves.  See photos of the groups fired at 25 feet. At 58 years old the sights where not easy to see!
